The advantages of the 40Gbits transmission system

Based on the key technology and the characteristics of itself, the 40Gbit/s system has the following advantages:

  (1) It can be more efficient to use transmission bandwidth, and the spectrum efficiency is higher.

  (2) The 40Gbit/s system reduces the complexity and cost of the OAM and the number of spare parts.

Especially in the network Metropolitan area backbone, the schedulability and integration of 40Gbit/s system is far better than 4x10G system because that can save area of room, reduce the device stack and improve the management ability and operation ability of bandwidth of the single node equipment.

  (3) The cost of every bit is more economic than other MAN's (metropolitan area network)solution.

(4)As we know, single wavelength can handle multiple data connections usually, and the function of core network will be greatly enhanced. Therefore, 40Gbits system will make the business more efficient and safe.

In view of the above advantages, 40Gbits transmission system has had a wide range of applications. 40Gbit/s interface will appear in DWDM system, ADM equipment, high capacity bandwidth management equipment and routers after the commercial mode.

And it will provide the function of high-speed Interconnection for data center or the network POP node. So 40Gbit/s systems will be widely applied in the metropolitan area network as well as the long-distance trunk network.

40 GB/s QSFP+ IR4 2km Transceiver

40 GB/s QSFP+ IR4 2km Transceiver. This product is a transceiver module designed for 2m-2km optical communication applications. The design is reference to 40GBASE-IR4 of the IEEE P802.3ba standard. The module converts 4 inputs channels (ch) of 10Gb/s electrical data to 4 CWDM optical signals, and multiplexes them into a single channel for 40Gb/s optical transmission. Reversely, on the receiver side, the module optically de-multiplexes a 40Gb/s input into 4 CWDM channels signals, and converts them to 4 channel output electrical data.

Compatibility verification

Compatibility verification is the analysis of the modules' work environment to meet the data sheet or compatibility and related standards. The performance of the module only in this compatibility work environment can be guaranteed. In some cases, due to environmental parameters beyond the data sheet or standard, it will cause the module performance degradation, thereby transmission error. Work environment and the module are compatible: 1) Voltage outside the specified range;2) Received optical power overload or lower than the receiver sensitivity;3) The temperature is outside the operating temperature range. Development Trends of Fiber optic transceiver

The fiber optic transceivers in continuous development and improvement of the equipment also raised many new requirements. First, the fiber optic transceiver product is not enough intelligence. For example, when the optical fiber transceiver broken, the mouth the other side of the power of most products will still remain open, the top equipment such as routers, switches, etc. are still will continue to the electrical port contract, the data is not up . I hope the majority of equipment providers can automatically switch on the fiber optic transceivers, up alarm automatically when out of optical path DOWN, electrical interface, and to prevent the upper equipment to continue to the port to

How to install a fiber optic transceiver module?

Installation of Fiber Optic Transceiver ModuleNecessary tools: ESD-preventive wrist strapTake the SFP module as an example. Complete these steps in order to install a SFP transceiver:1.  Attach an ESD-preventive wrist strap to your wrist and to the ESD ground connector or a bare metal surface on your chassis.2.  Remove the SFP Transceiver Module from its protective packaging.3.  Check the label on the SFP transceiver body to verify that you have the correct model for your network.4.  Find the send (TX) and receive (RX) markings that identify the top side of the SFP transceiver.5.  Position the SFP transceiver in front of the socket opening.6.  Insert the SFP transceiver into the
